THE POETS

Brandon Blue is a black, queer poet, translator, educator and MFA candidate at Arizona State University from the D(M)V. He is an assistant editor for Storm Cellar Magazine and his work has or will appear in Poet Lore, Action, Spectacle, Metro Weekly, and more. Their work is also featured in the Capital Pride Poem-a-Day event and has received the support from the Virginia G Piper for creative writing. His chapbook, Snap.Shot, has been published by Finishing Line Press and was named in Poetry Mutual’s Best Books of 2023. Keep up with their work at brandonbluepoet.com.

 

David Ehmcke received an MFA in poetry from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was awarded the Howard Nemerov Prize in Poetry. His work has appeared in the New Delta Review, Black Warrior Review, The Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. David was selected by Megan Fernandes as the winner of the 2023 Maureen Egen Award from Poets & Writers Magazine and was selected as the runner-up for the Meridian Editors' Prize and the Black Warrior Review Poetry Prize. He lives in St. Louis, where he teaches in Washington University's undergraduate creative writing program and serves as poetry editor for The Spectacle.

Mickie Kennedy (he/him) is a gay writer who resides in Baltimore County, Maryland. C.H. Lieberman (he/him) is a 21-year-old writer and performer from South London. He is openly gay and transgender, and writes poetry about love, sex, and self-discovery at the intersection of his identities. His one-man show Bunny Man debuted at Barons Court Theatre in March 2024.

 

Jeremiah Moriarty is a queer writer from Minneapolis. His poems and stories have appeared in The Rumpus, No Tokens, Puerto del Sol, Catapult, Breakwater Review, and elsewhere.

 

Brent Taalur Ramsey (he/him) is a gay, Alabama-born poet, fiction writer, freelance journalist and communications consultant. His work has appeared in Maudlin House, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, Buro, and elsewhere. He holds an MFA from New England College. Zachary Scalzo (he/they) is a queer writer, theatremaker, and translator whose theatrical work has been developed and performed both in the United States and in Canada. He is currently Artist in Residence in the English Department at the University of Central Oklahoma, and can be found at azachofalltrades.com and on Instagram at @zjscalzo.

 

Jack Westmore is a poet and software engineer from London, UK. He has previously been published in The Fourth River, Poet’s Choice, The Closed Eye Open, and Tin Can Poetry. Jack is a past recipient of the Tower Poetry Prize (2nd place). He counts Richie Hofmann, Jorie Graham, Joanna Klink, Jemma Borg and Ocean Vuong amongst his influences.

 

Heath Joseph Wooten (he/him) is a poet with perpetual boy problems and novelty earrings. He received his MFA in poetry from Northern Michigan University and is a doctoral student in literature at University of Mississippi, where he also teaches.
