THE POETS

Jake Byrne is a writer based in Tka:ronto, cka Toronto. In 2019, they won CV2's Foster Prize for Poetry. Their debut collection, Celebrate Pride with Lockheed Martin, will be published Wolsak & Wynn in spring 2023, and their second collection is forthcoming with Brick Books in 2024. Randy James is an educator, editor, teacher and performer from Los Angeles, California. James has studied writing at UCLA and USF (San Francisco). Some of his work has been published in Red Cedar ReviewPaletteThe Rumpus, Denver Quarterly, and Essential Truths: The Bay Area in Color.  James has performed in venues across Los Angeles and The San Francisco Bay Area. His chapbook, Shifters, is currently available on Nomadic Press.

 

T.S. Leonard is the author of the poetry chapbook God Save the Queens! (Irrelevant Press, 2022) and work published or forthcoming in Post Road, Old Pal, The San Franciscan, and Frontera. Leonard appeared in the multimedia program Spectral Transmissions (Portland Art Museum, 2020) and as a poetry finalist in the 18th Annual Saints + Sinners LGBTQ Literary Festival. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, he lives and teaches in San Francisco.

 

Timothy Liu's next book of poems, Down Low and Lowdown: Bedside Bottom-Feeder Blues, will be out in 2023 from Barrow Street Books. He lives in Bearsville, NY. 

 

Christopher Lloyd (he/him) is a writer and academic. His pamphlet, Pick Up Your Feelings will be published in 2024 by fourteen poems. Chris is the author of poems, stories, and essays that have appeared in Action, Spectacle, PERVERSE, Fruit Journal, Lighthouse, Roi Fainéant and elsewhere. Mícheál McCann is a poet from Derry. His second pamphlet of poems, Keeper, was published in 2022 by Fourteen Publishing. 

 

Jory Mickelson’s first book WILDERNESS//KINGDOM is the inaugural winner of the Evergreen Award Tour from Floating Bridge Press and won a 2020 High Plains Book Award. Caleb Nichols is a queer poet and musician from California. His poems and prose have been published widely in places like Poetry Wales, 14 Poems, Queerlings, Redivider, 45th Parallel, Talkhouse, and Truthout. His Kelp Books chapbook Teems/Recedes was called "a gorgeous abundance" by Chen Chen and his pamphlet of prose Don't Panic was published by Broken Sleep in 2022. Caleb is a PhD candidate in Creative Writing at Bangor University in North Wales, where he's currently living and writing.

 

Ben Schroeder is a poet from Wisconsin currently living in Madrid, Spain, where he works as a language assistant. His poetry has appeared in The Tower (formerly Ivory Tower) and Bluepepper, and his reviews have appeared in The Wake and Great River Review. He can be found on Twitter at @bschroederpoet.

 

Josh Tvrdy (he/him) is a writer from Tucson, Arizona. Winner of a 2021 Pushcart Prize, he recently graduated with an MFA in Poetry from North Carolina State University. He won Gulf Coast's 2018 Prize in Poetry, and his work can be found in POETRY, The Georgia Review, The Indiana Review, Gulf Coast and elsewhere. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.
